Welcome to Belinda Ashton Jewellery
Do you share my love of colour, beads and jewellery? If so, I’m sure you will find something you like here.
I search out and buy interesting beads at home and abroad and blend them with other mediums and textures to make individual pieces of jewellery. I love using buttons, fabrics and polymer clay as well as beads. I like to make jewellery you can buy for yourself without feeling guilty. I don’t use precious metals or gemstones to keep my work affordable.
No two pieces are quite the same. I love to experiment and explore new techniques. If you don’t see what you want on my website, or perhaps you want something to match an outfit, let me know. You can even send me a bead, or button that means something special to you (or someone you love) and create a unique piece around it. Memories are to be shared, so why not have a necklace made from those distinctive buttons you remember your grandmother wearing?
I’m only an email away. Contact me on email@example.com and let’s talk.
I am excited to be taking part in the Art and Craft Market at St Mary's Church of Art, St Benedicts Street, Norwich on 28th May between 10am and 7pm and Norfolk Crafts in the Gardens on Saturday 11th July at Chapelfield Gardens in Norwich between 10am and 4pm.
I now have a shop on Folksy which stocks my felt jewellery. Take a look at Belinda Ashton Jewellery on Folksy at: https://folksy.com/shops/BelindaAshton
Authentic African Beads
These glass beads are handmade in Ghana, Africa, using 100% recycled glass so they are enviromentally friendly as well as beautiful. The necklaces are completed with co-ordinating plain glass or lava stone beads and are threaded onto coloured cotton cord. They are fastened with silver or gold plated lobster clasps with an extension chain to adjust the length. The necklaces are all short choker length between 38cm and 46cm.
The matching earrings have either silver or gold plated fish hooks and are between 1.8cm and 4cm drop length.

I have called this collection of beads 'cabbage patch' because they remind me of cabbage leaves. The polymer clay beads are made from a green base bead covered with thin layers of a cane made with translucent and white clay. After baking the beads are polished and buffed giving a shiny finish. Frosted white glass seed beads and green miracle beads are threaded between the polymer clay beads, which are graduated in size from 1.5cm to 2.1cm in diameter The necklace is 47cm long and is fastened with a silver plated toggle clasp.
The matching earrings are 3.5cm long and have silver plated fish hooks.
