Welcome to Belinda Ashton Jewellery
Do you share my love of colour, beads and jewellery? If so, I’m sure you will find something you like here.
I search out and buy interesting beads at home and abroad and blend them with other mediums and textures to make individual pieces of jewellery. I love using buttons, fabrics and polymer clay as well as beads. I like to make jewellery you can buy for yourself without feeling guilty. I don’t use precious metals or gemstones to keep my work affordable.
No two pieces are quite the same. I love to experiment and explore new techniques. If you don’t see what you want on my website, or perhaps you want something to match an outfit, let me know. You can even send me a bead, or button that means something special to you (or someone you love) and create a unique piece around it. Memories are to be shared, so why not have a necklace made from those distinctive buttons you remember your grandmother wearing?
I’m only an email away. Contact me on email@example.com and let’s talk.
I am taking part in Instagram's "MarchMeetTheMaker" initiative. Each day in March I am joining lots of creative people posting about their lives and creative works, so have a look at my posts.
I now have a shop on Folksy which stocks my felt jewellery. Take a look at Belinda Ashton Jewellery on Folksy at: https://folksy.com/shops/BelindaAshton

New Beads for Snow time
The polymer clay beads in the necklace are made using the Mokume gane technique where thin layers of translucent clay are covered with silver leaf and painted with alcohol inks, then distorted and cut into thin slices which are layered onto translucent clay beads to create a beautiful multi-layered appearance. Irridescent glass beads are threaded between the polymer clay beads.
The necklace is 51cm long and is fastened with a silver plated lobster clasp.
