You can imagine the sound of fallen leaves scrunching under your feet when you look at this necklace. The polymer clay beads are made using the Mokume Gane technique where thin layers of coloured clay are distorted and cut into thin slices which are layered onto gold colour polymer clay to create a beautiful random design. This veneer is then hand rolled onto balls of plain polymer clay and cured in an oven. The beads are then sanded and finished with 3 coats of clear liquid polymer clay which is cured with a heat gun giving a shiny, glass like finish.

The 17 polymer clay beads in this necklace range in size from 1.2cm diameter to 2cm diameter and the beads are separated by toning glass seed beads. The beads are strung onto 19 strand flexible beading wire and is 68cm long. The necklace is fastened with a bronze colour lobster clasp
