Sand or Sea - Which Do You Prefer?
The colour of these necklaces are inspired by thoughts of a sandy beach and warm blue seas.
These polymer clay necklaces are made using the Mokume Gane technique where thin layers of coloured translucent clay are covered with silver leaf, then distorted and cut into thin slices which are layered onto polymer clay backs to create a beautiful multi-layered appearance.
The sea coloured necklaces have a shiny resin finish and the sand coloured necklaces are sanded and buffed to a smooth finish which is not as shiny.
The beads are each 2.2cm long and 1.2cm wide. Each necklace has 11 flat beads linked with jump rings and finished with a chain at the back. The necklaces are fastened with either a lobster clasp or toggle clasp as shown and are 43cm long.
The back of the necklaces are textured as shown.
