A Pretty Bead Necklace

The beads are made using a polymer clay technique which was first described by Alice Stroppel around 2011 and very soon became popular. Here I have used a mother of pearl colour background and coloured cane scraps to make this stripy design.

The necklace has 13 handmade beads which are sanded and polished to produce a shiny finish. The beads are 2.2cm long and are separated with clear glass seed beads. The necklace is threaded onto flexible 17 strand beading wire and is 60cm long and fastened with a silver plated toggle clasp..
